Small Acreage Program plans horse stable tour

A free tour of the Columbia Gorge Horse Stable is being offered next month in Washougal.

The Small Acreage Program, co-sponsored by Washington State University Clark County Extension and Clark County Environmental Services Clean Water Program, will lead the tour from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, June 23. The stable is located at 36861 S.E. Wooding Road.

Tour participants will see pasture rotation and cross fencing, discuss manure management, learn about a winter confinement area that doubles as an outdoor arena, and learn about living with wildlife, organizers said. The Columbia Gorge Horse Stable is home to both show and rescue horses.
