Aggravated murder conviction in Yakima slaying



YAKIMA, Wash. (AP) — A 23-year-old Tacoma man will be sentenced to life in prison without parole for killing a woman in 2009 in a Yakima alley.

Aaron Briden was convicted Thursday of aggravated murder for the death of 42-year-old Shelly Kinter.

The Yakima Herald-Republic reports ( ) the superior court judge who heard the case also convicted Briden of rape and robbery. He’ll be sentenced June 21. Prosecutors did not seek the death penalty.
