JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) — Landon Donovan set a record with his 125th start for the United States, returning to the American lineup for the first time since September as coach Jurgen Klinsmann made five changes for Saturday night’s exhibition against Scotland.

Donovan’s 125 starts are one more than defender Jeff Agoos from 1988-03.

Central defender Geoff Cameron, midfielder Jermaine Jones and forwards Jose Torres and Terrence Boyd also were in the U.S. lineup, joining six holdovers from the 1-0 win at Italy on Feb. 29: goalkeeper Tim Howard, left back Fabian Johnson, central defender Carlos Bocanegra, right back Steve Cherundolo and midfielders Maurice Edu and Michael Bradley.
