SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) — A settlement has been reached to resolve multiple lawsuits filed against the Morning Star Boys’ Ranch in Spokane by former residents.

Attorney Tim Kosnoff represents many of the men who claimed they were abused at the home. He tells the Spokesman-Review (http://bit.ly/KTrvWi) the settlement is acceptable to his clients.

He says he agreed not to disclose the financial amounts as part of the deal reached through months of mediation.

Many of the lawsuits named former ranch director, the Rev. Joseph Weitensteiner, as their abuser. The suits were recently dismissed in Spokane Superior Court.

Weitensteiner vehemently denied the sexual abuse accusations against at him. He did not admit wrongdoing in the settlement.

Attorney Jim King, who represented Morning Star and Weitensteiner, declined to comment to the newspaper.
