Families welcome at fire station open house

Clark County — Residents in the Hazel Dell, Lakeshore, Felida, Salmon Creek, Mt. Vista, Sherwood and Fairground areas are invited to a Clark County Fire District 6 open house from noon to 4 p.m. on Saturday.
Open house guests can watch an automobile extraction demonstration, see the Clark County Sheriff's police dogs, learn about Life Flight helicopters and participate in other family activities.
Southwest Washington Medical Center will sell low-cost bicycle helmets.
Free hot dogs, chips, salads and other refreshments will be available.
The fire station is at 8800 N.E. Hazel Dell Ave. in Vancouver. For information, call Fire District 6, 360-576-1195.
