SEATTLE (AP) — Authorities in Oklahoma City have arrested the ex-boyfriend of a 17-year-old girl found dead inside a burning home in Washington state.

Renton, Wash., police Detective Robert Onishi says 19-year-old Jarod Lane was arrested Monday morning by Oklahoma City police officers on a temporary felony arrest warrant for homicide. He says Lane is a suspect in the death of Jessica Scholl.

Police have been seeking Lane since Friday when firefighters found her body after putting out a couch fire at the home. Lane’s last known location was at a gas station in North Bend.

On Sunday, police in the city of Enid, north of Oklahoma City, received a report of a possible sighting of Lane. On Monday, Lane’s vehicle was spotted abandoned between Enid and Oklahoma City.

Detectives from Renton are traveling to Oklahoma City to interview Lane.
