VANCOUVER, Wash. (AP) — Two people have been rescued and two are missing after their recreational boat sank on the Columbia River in Camas.

Vancouver Fire spokesman David James tells the Columbian newspaper (http://bit.ly/LMunmp ) that one of the missing is likely a juvenile.

The Clark County Sheriff’s Office says the boat occupied by four people went down around 10 a.m. Monday.

A witness reported seeing the small watercraft that had been anchored become entangled in the anchor line and overturn, tossing the boaters in the water. This happened near Lady Island in Camas.

Recreational boaters rescued two people and took them to the Oregon side of the river.

James says rescue crews from several Washington state and Oregon agencies are searching for the missing.
