Coast Guard rescues 3 near Winchester Bay

NORTH BEND, Ore. (AP) -- The Coast Guard rescued three people early Tuesday from an overturned fishing vessel near Winchester Bay.
The report came in around midnight and the Coast Guard responded with a helicopter from North Bend and a motor lifeboat from Umpqua River.
The helicopter found the three on the hull of the 38-fishing vessel. They were taken to shore by the motor lifeboat in good condition.
