INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — USA Track & Field has selected Renee Washington as its chief operating officer.
The announcement was made Tuesday by Max Siegel, the organization’s CEO.
Washington, a lawyer, has worked at the Labor Department and is currently managing $140 million in contract work for Northrop Grumman Systems Corp. She is experienced in contract negotiations and compliance issues as well as working with nonprofit groups.
At USATF, she will concentrate on revising the organization’s business model, implementing a strategic plan and managing staff.
Siegel calls her a “listener and a doer” and a key addition. Washington lives in Indianapolis, where USATF is headquartered.
