Letter: Bicyclists ride at a disadvantage

My concern and prayers go out to the families of cyclists who have been injured or lost their lives on our highways.

Intersections are the worst. It is difficult to see cyclists as they zip through. There was a time when we were taught to stop at intersections and walk our bikes across the street. That was a much safer way to cross because a cyclist had visuals. They could see a bus or huge truck turning, whereas the trucker or bus driver could not see them.

I don’t know what the best rule or law would be; I only know that cyclists are at a disadvantage on our roads.
