PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — Portland police say a caller who alerted them to a 3-foot-long brown and tan snake on a downtown street reported that the snake “looked scared.”
When they responded Thursday, officers and a passer-by were able to corral the snake in a plastic tub. Police say they don’t know where the snake came from but added it was “clearly not native to downtown Portland.”
They turned it over to Multnomah County Animal Control.
