RUSTON, La. (AP) — The last time Louisiana Tech went to back-to-back bowl games, coach Sonny Dykes was 9 years old.

A homecoming win Saturday afternoon against Texas-San Antonio (5-3, 1-2 Western Athletic Conference) would give the No. 22 Bulldogs eight wins already this season and all but secure the first back-to-back post seasons for Louisiana Tech (7-1, 3-0 WAC).

The Bulldogs have the nation’s second-best scoring offense, averaging 52.6 points, and return home with their highest ranking in school history as they look to stay unbeaten in conference play. That offense wants to rebound from a season-low 28-point outing in a victory over New Mexico State last week.

The Roadrunners, meanwhile, will be looking to pull of the biggest upset in the brief two-year history of their program.
