GREENSBORO, N.C. (AP) — Zach Cimaglia kicked three field goals_33, 30 and 27 yards– to help North Carolina A&T beat Florida A&M 16-3 Saturday in a Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference showdown.

D’Vonte Grant’s 35-yard interception return for a touchdown put the Aggies ahead 16-3 and sealed the victory.

North Carolina A&T snapped a nine-game losing streak to Florida A&M and held the Rattlers without an offensive touchdown for the first time since 1938.

Cimaglia’s two first-quarter field goals put North Carolina A&T (5-4, 3-3) ahead early 6-0.

The Aggie defense held strong the entire game, allowing only a field goal in the second quarter for a 6-3 score at halftime.

The early lead and field goals proved to be enough for the Aggies, as Florida A&M (3-6, 3-3) was held scoreless in the second half.

A strong running game, led by Mike Mayhew’s 92 yards, helped North Carolina A&T ride out the victory.
