Rhythm of Light wins feature at Santa Anita

ARCADIA, Calif. (AP) — Rhythm of Light won the $150,000 Goldikova Stakes by 112 lengths on Sunday at Santa Anita on closing day of the autumn meet.

Ridden by Garret Gomez, Rhythm of Light ran one mile on the turf in 1:33.42 and paid $6.80, $4.60 and $3.40 as the 2-1 favorite in the field of seven fillies and mares. She won a Group 2 race in Turkey on Sept. 1 before shipping to the West Coast for her U.S. debut.

A Jealous Woman returned $5.40 and $3.80, while Vivo Per Lei paid $4.40 to show.

The victory, worth $90,000, increased Rhythm of Light’s career earnings to $403,659. The Britain-bred filly will remain in the U.S. and transfer to trainer Simon Callaghan.
