Charlie Kleier, a longtime investment broker and partner with NAI Norris Beggs & Simpson, has taken over leadership of its Vancouver office, effective Monday.

Kleier, 47, succeeds Roger Qualman, who now reports to the company’s Portland office and is focused on managing its brokerage team and expanding the firm’s business lines. Kleier will oversee a staff of 14 employees at NAI Norris Beggs & Simpson’s downtown Vancouver office. He also will continue active work as a broker, specializing in investment sales.

“The nice thing is we have a very experienced staff, so it should be pretty seamless moving forward,” he said.

Kleier has been involved with several sizable commercial transactions this year, including the $4.2 million sale of 60 apartment units in a 72-unit wing of the One Lake Place Condominium complex in Vancouver.

His background in commercial real estate includes 23 years with NAI Norris Beggs & Simpson. The firm made Kleier a partner in 2004.
