Letter: Coal transport has gone on for years
Wednesday, November 7, 2012
They have been running coal trains from Wyoming through the northern middle state cities for 40 years. Perhaps it's time to ask those states about problems. I had a relative who lived in La Crosse, Wis., and put her washed laundry on the outside line, less than 100 yards from the Burlington railway line.
I suspect that one hour of I-5 traffic could be equal to about 12 hours of railroad pollution.
