SPOKANE (AP) — Colder weather is bringing a chance of snow through the weekend to parts of Eastern Washington.

The Weather Service issued a winter weather advisory for Thursday evening through Friday afternoon for the Spokane-area, Palouse, northeast mountains and Okanogan highlands. Showers could fall as snow as temperatures fall to 30 or below. Lows Saturday and Sunday nights could dip into the teens while weekend highs in Eastern Washington are expected mostly in the 30s.

In Western Washington, forecasters say low temperatures Friday could dip into the 20s and highs through the weekend will be mostly in the 40s.
