No. 5 Georgia guns for SEC East title at Auburn

AUBURN, Ala. (AP) — No. 5 Georgia and Auburn have flip-flopped positions from two years ago.

The Bulldogs can clinch a spot in the Southeastern Conference championship game Saturday night and remain in the national title picture with a victory over the struggling Tigers. That’s what Auburn did in the Deep South’s Oldest Rivalry two years ago en route to a national championship.

Georgia has come far since that 6-7 season. So have the Tigers — in the wrong direction. They’re still seeking their first SEC win.

Bulldogs wide receiver Tavarres King says that makes for a very dangerous opponent because the Tigers “want to ruin our season.”

If Georgia loses, Florida will play for the SEC title.

Auburn freshman quarterback Jonathan Wallace makes his second start and first in a league game.
