Sex offender update

A high-risk sex offender is now registered as homeless in the Vancouver area, the Clark County Sheriff's Office said Thursday.
John Allen Ammons, 55, was recently released by the Washington State Department of Corrections. He is not wanted by police at this time.
Ammons was found guilty of second-degree rape of an unknown 14-year-old boy in 1986 and pleaded guilty to indecent liberties in 1993 for sexually assaulting an 8-year-old boy.
Ammons is 5-feet 8-inches tall, weighs 200 pounds and has brown hair and blue eyes.
