Enders leads Towson to 41-10 win over Rhode Island

TOWSON, Md. (AP) — Grant Enders matched his career high with four touchdown passes and Dominique Booker rushed for 181 yards as Towson broke open a close game to defeat winless Rhode Island 41-10 Saturday.

Enders was 19 of 28 for 231 yards for Towson (6-4, 5-2 Colonial Athletic Association), which has won three straight.

Booker’s career-high yardage came on just seven carries, including an 83-yard TD run to open the third quarter that was the second-longest rushing play in program history.

The Rams (0-10, 0-7) struck first with a 14-yard TD pass from Bob Bentsen to Brandon Johnson-Farrell.

Enders then tossed a 28-yard touchdown to Cory Kirby and a 3-yarder to Gerrard Sheppard to put Towson ahead 13-7.

After Dylan Smith kicked a 19-yard field goal with 5:02 left in the first half, the Rams would not score again.

Tom Ryan had seven catches for 109 yards and a touchdown for the Tigers.
