Letter: More people should vote

After seeing hurricane survivors who are living with no power and/or no homes standing in long lines to vote and after watching the news and seeing people fighting just to be able to voice their opinions in other countries … I believe the local voter turnout should be much higher. It’s not just a right, it’s a responsibility. And, it’s made very easy when we receive complete booklets of information and don’t even have to leave our home to vote.

Embrace the fact that we live in a country that allows opinions and offers us a chance to make decisions. Become involved, and don’t complain if you haven’t voted.
