A Battle Ground man was arrested on suspicion of vehicular assault late Monday after a rollover crash east of La Center.
The crash was reported around 10:30 p.m. in the 2900 block of Northeast Lockwood Creek Road. Crews responded and found a passenger was ejected from the vehicle and the driver was trapped inside.
Both were sent to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center by AMR ambulance, sheriff's Sgt. Dennis Pritchard said in a news release.
According to Sgt. Pritchard, the driver over-corrected after the truck went off the road, causing it to spin and roll. Deputies believe that drugs or alcohol was a contributing factor in the crash, Pritchard said.
The driver of the truck, James Hall, 28, was taken into custody after being released from the hospital. He was booked into the Clark County Jail on suspicion of vehicular assault.
The ejected passenger, Charles Reed, 28, of La Center was listed in satisfactory condition Tuesday morning, hospital spokesman Ken Cole said.
The sheriff's Traffic Homicide Unit is investigating.
