NEWARK, N.J. (AP) — Fuquan Edwin scored 23 points and grabbed 10 rebounds and Eugene Teague added 16 points and 11 rebounds, leading Seton Hall to a 78-65 victory over Norfolk State in the Naismith Memorial Tip-Off Classic Monday night.

The Pirates (2-0) move on to face Washington Saturday night at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn.

Norfolk State (1-1), which defeated Rhode Island in the opening round of the tournament last Friday, got 20 points from Pendarvis Williams and 15 from Malcolm Hawkins.

Edwin scored 17 of his game-high 23 in the second half. Kyle Smyth added 14 points off the bench for the Pirates, and Brandon Mobley grabbed 10 rebounds for Seton Hall.

Norfolk State, which stunned second-seeded Missouri in the opening round of last year’s NCAA tournament, led only once as the Pirates used their size advantage to pull away in the second half.
