Grammy winner headlines fundraiser for B.G. High bands

Grammy-winning jazz musician Esperanza Spalding will headline a Nov. 26 concert and VIP reception fundraiser for the Battle Ground High School band program. Other performers are Patrick Lamb and his Funkified Band, Israel Annoh and Janice Scroggins.

Battle Ground High School’s intermediate jazz band, advanced jazz band and vocal jazz ensemble also will perform.

The 7:30 p.m. concert is at Crossroads Community Church, 7708 N.E. 78th St. in Vancouver. Concert tickets are $30 for adults; $15 for students and seniors.

For $100, guests can attend the concert and a pre-concert VIP reception and dinner including champagne, hors d’oeuvres and a three-course steak dinner. The 4 to 7 p.m. reception is at Mill Creek Pub, 1710 S.W. Ninth Ave. in Battle Ground. Purchase tickets for both events at Ticket Tomato.
