Central Park — Clark College hosted a Fall Choral Festival on Nov. 3. Student musicians from a dozen regional high school concert, chamber and jazz choirs participated in the noncompetitive event. Groups started the day in choral clinics, and four school choirs — Woodland High School in Woodland, Seton Catholic College Preparatory School in Vancouver, West Linn High School in West Linn, Ore., and Chiawana High School in Pasco — were invited back that evening to perform in a showcase. Clark College's Vocal Jazz Ensemble, directed by Janet Reiter, and its Concert Choir, directed by April Duvic, also performed in the showcase. "We just had a really fantastic day of chorale music," Duvic said. A grant from the Washington American Choral Directors Association provided financial support for the festival.
