Someone from Vancouver is $1 million richer after matching five of six numbers on Tuesday’s Powerball drawing, according to a news release from Edelman Seattle, the Washington Lottery’s public relations firm.
The news release suggests the lucky person should sign the back of his or her ticket and come into a regional lottery office. The local office is at 1503 N.E. 78th St., Suite 4.
No one won the jackpot, which is now estimated at $214 million.
The news release suggests a Powerball jackpot winner would be able to pay for more than 14 million care packages for overseas troops; 43 million Thanksgiving meals for six; or pay for everyone in Spokane to visit family and friends who live out of state for the holidays.
The next drawing will be held Saturday at 7:59 p.m. For more information, visit www.walottery.com.
