WACO, Texas (AP) — Collin Klein and Kansas State are two wins away from almost certainly playing for the school’s first national championship.

The second-ranked Wildcats (10-0) are headed to Texas for the second Saturday night in a row. This time they play Baylor (4-5), which is still trying to get bowl eligible after losing its Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback to the NFL.

The Wildcats, No. 1 in the latest BCS rankings, know their title dreams will be out of reach if they lose one of their last two regular-season games. Heisman Trophy front-running quarterback Klein says they still haven’t played their best game.

K-State is coming off its lowest-scoring outing of the season, in a 23-10 win at TCU. There were two turnovers, after only one the previous six games.
