Fire damages house under construction

Fire charred a home under construction Sunday morning.
The fire was reported at 4511 N.E. 120th St. at 7:37 a.m., Capt. Dave James said.
Clark County District 6 and one Vancouver Fire Department engine company responded — other Vancouver units were fighting a Marrion neighborhood fire.
Firefighters found smoke coming from the garage area of the home. They were able to put the fire out but the entire house was damaged by smoke, James said.
Construction on the house appeared to be nearing completion, James said.
The Clark County Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating.
