Clark Public Utilities crews were heading to the scene of a few reported power outages Tuesday afternoon.

Around 200 people were without power just before 2 p.m., utilities spokeswoman Erica Erland said.

Crews were responding to a report of a tree into a power line in La Center that was affecting 100 customers and another outage on Lower River Road where a truck hit two poles. The crash has 43 people without power, she said.

Crews also responded to Camas and Yacolt to fix small reported outages.

About 5,000 customers will be without power in the Minnehaha area Tuesday afternoon while crews isolate a bad transmission switch, Erland said. The planned outage should only last a few minutes, she said.

The morning was “pretty quiet” until about 1 p.m., when several outages were reported, Erland said.

There were a few other reports of power problems and trees down around the county, according to emergency radio traffic monitored at The Columbian.
