Vancouver police on Wednesday morning investigated a reported robbery attempt in central Vancouver.

The attempt was reported at Snappy’s Gas and Groceries at 10512 S.E. Mill Plain Blvd. just after 7:30 a.m., said Kim Kapp, VPD spokeswoman.

According to Kapp, a man entered the store, used the restroom, then approached the clerk and said he had a gun. The clerk said the store didn’t have any money and the two had a brief argument, Kapp said. The suspect then left.

Vancouver police responded to the area but did not find the suspect, who was described as a man in his early 20s wearing sunglasses and a black hoodie.

Anyone with info on the suspect should contact Officer Langston at 360-487-7400, ext. 3043.
