A 69-year-old motorist from Raymond died after an auto accident in Woodland on Wednesday morning.
Firefighters and police were called to the 900 block of Goerig Street at 11:05 a.m., where they found a vehicle had struck a tree.
The vehicle’s sole occupant was found unresponsive at the scene. He was treated by paramedics and taken to Vancouver’s PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
Police believe the man, whose name was not immediately released, may have suffered a medical problem that led to the accident and his death. Woodland police and the Washington State Patrol will investigate.
