EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) — The New England Patriots have released wide receiver Greg Salas and activated rookie offensive lineman Markus Zusevics to the 53-man roster from the reserve/non-football injury list.

Zusevics will be available to play for the Patriots against the New York Jets on Thursday night.

Salas was signed by the Patriots from the practice squad on Nov. 17 and played as a reserve last Sunday against Indianapolis. He was originally acquired by New England in a trade with St. Louis in September, was released a few weeks later and signed to the practice squad on Sept. 20.

Zusevics was signed by the Patriots in May as an undrafted free agent out of Iowa.
