Sharp-shooting Temple tops Delaware 80-75

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Scootie Randall and Khalif Wyatt each netted 18 points as Temple beat Delaware 80-75 for a nonconference win Sunday.

Wyatt’s output marked a career high as he made 6 of 12 shots, including 2 of 7 from beyond the arc, while Randall made 6 of 16 including three 3-point makes on nine attempts. Randall also had a team-high eight rebounds, while Wyatt turned in a game-best seven assists.

Jamelle Hagins led Delaware (2-4) with a career-high 29 points and pulled down 12 boards for his third double-double of the year. Devon Sadler added 25 points.

The Owls (3-0) rode sharp shooting to a 41-34 halftime advantage, connecting on 15 of 30 from the field, including 8 of 16 from 3-point range, in the first half.

The Blue Hens shot 56.9 percent (29 of 51) from the field for the game, but made just four 3-pointers to Temple’s 11.
