Man sent to hospital after shooting himself

A Vancouver man accidentally shot himself in the stomach with a handgun Monday evening while he was watching TV, said Vancouver police Sgt. Greg Raquer. The incident was reported at 5:28 p.m. at 7915 N.E. 20th St.
Raquer said the man simply exercised poor gun control. The man’s name and age were not released. He was transported to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center for his injuries.
