A 50-year-old Vancouver man was cited for second-degree negligent driving after crashing a semi-truck in Klickitat County, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Marek B. Dolecki was driving north on state Highway 97 through a work zone and failed to obey restrictive signs, according to a WSP bulletin. Dolecki hit a concrete barrier causing two fuel tanks on his truck to spill about 300 gallons of diesel on the roadway.

The Department of Ecology responded to clean the spill, according to the WSP.

A pickup truck driven by Dustin D. Hays, 37, of Wapato, hit debris from the crash.

No one was reported injured in the crash, which was caused by speeding, the patrol said.
