The executive director of the Vancouver Downtown Association will be the guest speaker at the second annual “Women Build Holiday Tea.”

Lee Rafferty, former owner of Spanky’s consignment store, has lived in the area since 1974, and she has experience working with new businesses.

The tea will be held Saturday, at 11 a.m., at the Fort Vancouver Artillery Barracks, 600 E. Hathaway, Vancouver. The event will include a silent auction of gifts donated by supporters and craftsmen.

Tickets will cost $30 each, and the proceeds will benefit Evergreen Habitat for Humanity’s Women Build program. Its mission is to empower women to take action against poverty housing conditions by nurturing, recruiting and training women to build simple, decent and affordable homes.

For more information or to RSVP for the tea, call 737-1759 or visit www.ehfh.org.
