Vancouver police took a man who was reportedly suicidal into custody Tuesday morning.
Officers responded to the North Image neighborhood near Northeast Fourth Plain Road just after 11 a.m., according to emergency dispatch logs.
A man was reportedly threatening suicide and told others he had a weapon, Vancouver police spokeswoman Kim Kapp said. A Bearcat armored vehicle was also taken to the scene.
Patrol officers with tactical SWAT training were called to the scene in addition to patrol officers. They took the man into custody without incident.
Ambulance crews came in to see if the man needed any medical treatment, Kapp said. His name was not released.
