One woman reported minor injuries Thursday morning after a three-car crash on state Highway 500.
The crash was reported just before 7 a.m. near the ramp from west Highway 500 to south Interstate 205, according to emergency dispatch logs.
The Washington State Patrol, Vancouver Fire Department and Washington State Department of Transportation responded.
The crash occurred when William L. Brasuell, 25, of Vancouver failed to yield to slowing traffic, according to a WSP bulletin. Brasuell’s Volkswagen Jetta slammed into the back of a Ford Escape driven by Leslie C. Baron, 58, of Vancouver. Baron’s car then ran into a Honda Accord driven by Carol J. Malone, 57, of Vancouver, WSP said.
Malone was sent to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center with neck and back pain. Brasuell was injured but not transported to the hospital.
According to WSP, Brasuell was cited for following too close.
All three cars were towed from the scene.
VFD crews temporarily blocked lanes, which were reopened by 7:30 a.m.
