A Vancouver truck driver was cited for negligent driving after his tractor-trailer rolled on state Highway 97 in Klickitat County on Thursday, according to the Washington State Patrol.
The rollover happened around 5:45 a.m. on south Highway 97 about 10 miles north of Goldendale.
Christopher R. Atkinson, 45, was driving his 2004 Freightliner approaching a left curve, a WSP bulletin said. The driver failed to negotiate the curve, crossed the fog line and turned over on the guardrail, the bulletin said.
The crash was caused by speeding, WSP said.
The truck and trailer were totaled and towed from the scene.
