Vancouver — The Department of Labor and Industries will not impose an overall increase in workers’ compensation insurance premiums in 2013, the state agency said Friday. This is the second year in a row that L&I has held overall rates flat.

Individual employers may see their rates go up or down, depending on their recent claims history and changes in the frequency and cost of claims in their industry, L&I said in a news release. The new rates take effect Jan. 1, 2013.

An accord has been reached to buy 32 fighters in addition to the 63 already on contract, Pentagon spokesman George Little told reporters Friday.
