Letter: Pipeline would not benefit U.S.

The Columbian

Building the Keystone Pipeline would not have cut your gasoline bill. It would have just shifted the transport of hard-to-refine Canadian tar sands oil to our Gulf Coast refineries, then loaded the oil into tankers headed for export, most likely to China. Democrats tried an amendment to keep some of the gas in this country.

Republicans attempted a vote to fast- track Keystone, which would just send it all overseas.
