Battle Ground Senior Center gives $1,850 to memorial effort

Battle Ground — The Battle Ground Senior Center board has donated $1,850 to the Battle Ground Veterans Memorial that’s in the works at Kiwanis Park. Board president Mel Mason presented a check to the Battle Ground City Council at its Sept. 17 meeting. Mason said a Girls’ Night Out event in August and sponsored by the Senior Center board raised $850 for the memorial, and that the board approved an additional $1,000 donation.
