Vancouver firefighters responded to two fires within a half-hour Wednesday night, one that ruined a motor home and a pickup truck.

At 8:21 p.m., firefighters went to Northeast 33rd Circle and 62nd Avenue, north of Fourth Plain Boulevard and near state Highway 500. They found an older and unlicensed motor home, a truck and a large fir tree in flames.

Eighteen firefighters put out the fire, and a fire marshal was on the scene at The Columbian’s press time. No one was reported injured, Capt. Kevin Murray said.

At 8:46 p.m., firefighters responded to a second-story fire in a condo at Hampton Downs, 5301 Plomondon St. Murray said a bedroom was on fire. He said no one was injured and was not certain if anyone was in the condo when the fire broke out.
