BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (AP) — It would be easy for the Indiana Hoosiers to get caught in the hype surrounding this season’s expectations.

Neither coach Tom Crean nor his experienced players will allow it.

Last year, Indiana climbed out of the Big Ten basement and back to national prominence by upsetting three No. 1 ranked teams and making it back to the NCAA regional semifinals. Some are billing the Hoosiers as a preseason favorite to win the national championship.

But these Hoosiers say they don’t care where they start. They’d rather be No. 1 when the season ends.
