Letter: Ban fireworks entirely

I read with total agreement Ron Pedersen’s Sept. 18 letter, “Council moving in right direction,” but I also believe that fireworks should be banned entirely.

Yes, they are pretty to look at but very dangerous to people and especially to dogs. I’m a grown woman and I don’t enjoy the noise. My own dog had to be put to sleep because someone threw a firecracker into our backyard.

In my opinion, the beauty of the display means nothing if a child, or adult, or a little innocent animal is injured.
