DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (AP) — Quentin Williams rushed for 111 yards and two touchdowns and passed for 128 yards and another score as Bethune-Cookman pulled away from North Carolina A&T 28-12 Saturday.

With the Wildcats (4-2, 3-0 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) holding a 14-12 lead early in the third quarter, Isidore Jackson’s fumble gave the Aggies (2-3, 0-2) the ball on the Bethune-Cookman 4.

But the Wildcats held firm, allowing just 2 yards, and blocked Zach Cimaglia’s 19-yard field goal attempt.

Williams — who was 1-of-6 for 9 yards in the first half — then threw a 6-yard scoring pass to Rodney Scott.

After Dion Hanks picked off Lewis Kindle for the third Wildcats interception of the game, Williams added a 31-yard TD run to cap a 9 minute, 22-second drive.

Mike Mayhew, North Carolina A&T’s all-time leading rusher, gained only 35 yards on 13 carries.

Lightning delayed the game 1 hour and 46 minutes.
