Letter: Implied racial slur disgusting

The Columbian
Published: October 7, 2012, 5:00pm

I wasn’t surprised when I heard that people were hanging chairs from trees in the South, but I never thought something so disgusting and vile would happen right here in Washington. An Oct. 4 Columbian story reported “‘Chair lynching’ stirs racial concerns: Camas couple’s anti-Obama display criticized.” The fact that you have the right to say or do a thing does not make it the right thing to say or do. Shame on those who resort to such tactics.
