ARCADIA, Calif. (AP) — Vionnet won the $50,000 Pebble Beach Purse for fillies and mares by 1 1/4 lengths Thursday at Santa Anita.
Ridden by Garrett Gomez, Vionnet covered a mile on the rain-soaked turf in 1:36.19 and paid $5.20, $3.40 and $2.60 as the 8-5 favorite. Acenda returned $8.40 and $6.20, and Ricspretentiousgal paid $4.20 to show.
The victory, worth $30,000, increased Vionnet’s career earnings to $96,890, with two wins in six starts.
Gomez rode two other winners on the card.
