Walnut Grove — More than 175 participants walked or rolled — on bikes, scooters or other self-propelled wheels — to Walnut Grove Elementary School on International Walk to School Day on Oct. 3 to promote the school's Walking School Bus program. Community partners Clark County Public Health, Safe Kids, FedEx and Northside Baptist Church supported walkers and bikers by providing water bottles, reflective zipper pulls and safety education. Adults who would like to volunteer for the Walnut Grove Walking School Bus program should contact Sara Tackett at sara.tackett@vansd.org.
