Fruit Valley — What's Lurenda Wade's secret to growing enormous pineapple heirloom tomatoes? She uses no pesticides, and every three years she amends her soil with steer manure, peat moss and sand. "That's it!" she said, noting that this tomato weighed 1 1/2 pounds. How did it taste? "Pretty sweet!" Last year, one of her tomatoes tipped the scale at 3 pounds.
